Lilian Rice Renovation

The project began when the homeowner was captivated by a historic 1928 Lilian Rice house in Rancho Santa Fe. Situated on a 1.3-acre lot, the residence required a full renovation. The objective was to maintain the home's distinctive architectural charm while incorporating modern amenities and updating the infrastructure to meet contemporary standards. We completely gutted the kitchen, all bathrooms, and an additional primary bath, starting from scratch. The house was rewired and replumbed throughout. Our team also revamped and rebuilt the various patios and walkways on the property. We replaced or refinished all floors to ensure a consistent look, as if they were original. Furthermore, all windows were either replaced, repaired, or custom-built to preserve the home’s historic essence.
